First Baseball Game!

Tonight we went to a Peoria Chief's baseball game at O'Brien Field. You watched a very little bit of the game, but had a great time playing in the grass next to us during the game.

When the game was over, one of the baseball players gave you a ball to take home. Here's a picture of you in front of the statue of Pete Vonachen giving a baseball to a little boy...

and here is a picture of you and Pete Vonachen himself.

No more pull-ups!!!

I've gone potty on the big girl potty for three days now! We're going shopping soon for new panties just for me! I really like wearing my panties like a big girl! Next week I'll be starting Pre-school, so I'll have to be really careful, but so far so good! Mommy and Daddy will be taking me to Chuck E. Cheese to celebrate soon!

First Eye Doctor Appointment

Today Lili went in to Heyde Eye Center and saw Dr. Henline. She did great during the entire exam. The doctor diagnosed her with Estropia in her left eye, which basically means that her left eye turns in to the center. We will go in again next week for Dr. Henline and Dr. Heyde to recheck her eyes and decide how to proceed. Dr. Henline said that she will need glasses, but she will probably not have to wear them for the rest of her life, they are hoping to correct the estropia since it's not a constant problem.

Daddy...want me to tell you a story?

Tonight, Lili hopped up on the couch and sat down by Daddy.
She looked at him and asked, "Daddy, do you want me to tell you a story?"

Daddy replied, "Sure, tell me a story."

Lili said, "Once up one a time there was me..."

Daddy looked at Lili, waiting for the rest of the story.

Lili stated, "That's the end of it."

Those are dirty hot dogs!

Tonight we had Johnsonville Brats and Mac & Cheese for dinner.

While I was making the Mac & Cheese, Daddy was cooking the brats on the grill. Daddy brought in the brats from the grill and set them on the table, to which Lili promptly made note, "Those are dirty hot dogs!".

Daddy and I laughed.

Then Bella corrected Lili and said, "Those aren't hot dogs" and Daddy agreed with Bella and said, "You're right, those aren't hot dogs, they're brats."

Bella replied, "I know, I'm too smart!"

Seriously, where do they learn this stuff?

Thumb Sucking...

So, the time has come that we're going to try to break your thumb-sucking habit. On Sunday we stopped at Walmart and bought the No Bite nail polish. On the way home you thought you were going to take a nap and also suck your thumb, but you took it out of your mouth very quickly with a very sour look on your face. So, we talked about the fact that sucking your thumb is yucky (which the taste reinforces) and that only babies need to suck their thumbs, and you're not a baby, you're a big girl. That night you did fine and only tried a couple times to suck your thumb...here we are now at Wednesday and you're not even trying. I think that we might be getting through this easier than I thought we would.
